A: Radio Boracay 106.1 FM is a commercial broadcast radio station in Boracay Island, Philippines. Its studio & offices are located at Red Coconut Alley in barangay Balabag, and its transmitter tower in the mountains of the same barangay. It broadcasts at the frequency of 106.1 MHz in the FM band.

A: Radio Boracay 106.1 FM first invaded the airwaves of Boracay and Northwestern Visayas back in July, 2006. It has dominated the airwaves ever since.
Q: What’s the transmitter power of Radio Boracay?
A: Radio Boracay’s transmitter broadcasts at 2000 watts, making it the more powerful station in Boracay, reaching more listeners and far-flung places around the island.
Q: How far does Radio Boracay’s broadcast reach?
A: We have what we call the “Roxas-to-Roxas reach.” Meaning, we can reach as far as Roxas, Mindoro up north, down to Roxas City, Capiz down southeast. We can reach a total of five provinces (portions of them): Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro. Even Cuyo, Palawan, Masbate, Marinduque, and Pio Duran, Albay.
Q: What is Radio Boracay’s music format?
A: We are a pop music station. We include contemporary US & OPM top 40 Hits, reggae & island music in our play list. We don’t have room for novelties, ancient songs, and overplayed classics that other radio stations are fond of playing. “Cool” is our mantra, and “baduy” is definitely out of the question.

A: Since our music philosophy is “cool,” it only follows that we play only the coolest hits. We believe that cool, groovy, and soothing music calms the mind and the psyche, hence the slogan, “Cool Ur Soul.”
